Abortion of pregnancy resulting from rape

What can those Muslim women do who have been assaulted and become pregnant as a result of rape? Is it permissible for them to abort the foetus or not?

Praise be to
Allaah.

Because the Muslims have become so weak
and humiliated, they, along with their lands and their honour, have
become fair game for anyone; the nations call one another to attack
them from all sides. Many Muslim women have often become a target for
the scavenging wolves of humanity, who do not fear Allaah or any deterrent,
as is the case in many countries in the Muslim world, and as has happened
in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the Philippines, in Chechnya, in Eritrea,
and in the prisons of some of the contemptible systems of the Arab world.

There follow some important points concerning
the woman who has been raped:

1 – The raped woman who did her utmost
to resist these thugs and their ilk is not guilty of any sin, because
she was forced into it, and the one who is forced to do something is
not guilty of sin in the case of kufr, which is worse than zinaa (unlawful
sexual activity), as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“except him who
is forced thereto and whose heart is at rest with Faith…”

[al-Nahl 16:106]

The Prophet

(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has forgiven
for my ummah for their mistakes, what they forget and what they are
forced to do.” (Narrated by Ibn Maajah in al-Talaaq, 2033; classed
as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Sunan Ibn Maajah, 1664).

The Muslim woman who has fallen prey
to a rapist will be rewarded for bearing this calamity with patience,
if she seeks reward with Allaah for the harm that has befallen her.
The Prophet

(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No stress or exhaustion
befalls the Muslim, nor worry or distress, even a thorn which pricks
him, but Allaah will expiate for his sins because of that.” (Narrated
by al-Bukhaari and Muslim).

2 – Young Muslim men should hasten to
marry women such as these who have been tormented, so as to reduce their
suffering and console them, to compensate them for the loss of the most
precious thing that they possess, which is their virginity.

3 – With regard to their having abortions
– the basic principle concerning abortion is that it is haraam and is
not allowed from the moment of conception when it becomes a new being
and is “placed in a place of safety” [cf. al-Mursalaat 77:21], i.e.,
the womb, even if this being is the result of a haraam relationship
such as zinaa. In the case of the Ghaamidi woman who had confessed to
zina and thus the punishment of stoning became obligatory, the Messenger

(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told her to go away until
after she had given birth, then after she had given birth, he told her
to go away until the child was weaned.

4 – There are some fuqahaa’ who think
that it is permissible to have an abortion within the first forty days
of pregnancy. Some of them even permit it until before the soul is breathed
into the embryo. The stronger the excuse, the clearer the reason for
the concession is, and if that is within the first forty days it is,
this means that the concession is more appropriate.

5 – Undoubtedly the rape of a Muslim
woman by an evil enemy is a strong reason for the Muslim woman and for
her family to have an abortion. For she will hate this foetus, the result
of this iniquitous attack, and she will want to get rid of it. So this
concession is to be given because of necessity, especially in the first
days of the pregnancy.

6 – Nevertheless, there is nothing wrong
with a Muslim woman who has suffered this disaster keeping the foetus
without being forced to get rid of it. If it is decreed that it should
remain in her womb for the usual term and she gives birth to it, then
it will be a Muslim child, as the Prophet

(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Every newborn is
born in a state of fitrah (the natural state of man, i.e., Islam).”
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari). The fitrah is the religion of Tawheed, i.e.,
Islam. It has been stated in fiqh that if the parents have different
religions, the child should follow the parent who has the best religion.
This is in cases where the father is known, but what about the child
who has no father? He is a Muslim child, no doubt, and the Muslim society
is obliged to take care of his upbringing, to spend on him and to bring
him up well. They should not leave the burden to his poor, suffering
mother.

One of the basic principles of Islam
is to relieve distress and hardship, so if a Muslim girl who is keen
to remain chaste is exposed to bestial aggression and fears the effect
that this may have on her reputation or her honour, or fears that she
may be an outcast or that she may be subjected to harm such as being
killed, or she fears that she may suffer psychological or nervous diseases,
or that her sanity may be affected, or that shame may be brought upon
her family for a matter in which she is not guilty of any sin, or that
the child will not find any place of safety, then I say: that if this
is the case, there is nothing wrong with her aborting the foetus before
the soul is breathed into it, especially when it has become easy for
a woman to find out if she is pregnant or not, with the advance of medical
means of detecting pregnancy in the first week. The earlier the abortion
is carried out, the more appropriate this concession is. And Allaah
knows best.

1 - Reading Quran and reflecting over the Quran Is our Duty

Read quran and it will guided us to the true teaching of The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) he summarized the religion of Islam with this statement: “The Religion is naseehah (sincerity)!” So then Tameem ibn Aws, may Allah be pleased with him, then said, “We asked, ‘To whom?’” He said: “To Allah, HIS BOOK holy quran, His Messenger, the leaders of the people, and their common folk.” [Muslim] so to study the religion people should go to the source of and source of Islam is the quran so learning quran and reading quran with the meaning the quran tafsir and then explore the words of wisdom. And for the Muslims the sincerity that is due to the Book of Allah includes doing the quran recitation, listening to quran along with learning the tajweed rules and reciting it beautifully, letting our kids learn quran learning holy quran tafseer and the reasons for its revelation, affirming that it is the Truth, the perfect Speech of Allah and not part of the creation, honoring it and defending it, abiding by the orders and prohibitions found in it and teaching quran to spread the word or truth and calling to it. So by learning quran education online and reflecting over the Quran online, one fulfills an obligation and is rewarded for that. Upon fulfilling this obligation, the Quran then becomes a proof for him on the Day of Judgment! And that is our second benefit we will take by embracing this Noble Book...

Allah and Elohim - Are they the same God? Part 11 - Unchanging God, His Word, His qualities, His promises nothing changes. - Bible and Quran - Sherly ( Shirley ) Isaac

Allah
and Elohim - Are they the same God? Part 11

Unchanging
God

Malachi
3:6, "For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are
not consumed, O sons of Jacob."

Bible says that Yahweh
God is unchanging and when we come to New Testament we read about
Jesus that
He is the same yesterday,
today, and forever. (Hebrews13: 8)

But when we come to Quran which is called Last Testament
or last revelation by Muslims, we see that Allah, Allah's word,
Allah's promises and Allah's qualities are changing. Why should
there be any change if the God of the Bible and Allah who sent Quran
are the same God?  Bible
says that God is unchanging, let us look from the Bible and Quran
about this quality of God and Allah.

He does not change in anything:

Many centuries have come and gone and of course world
is not the same as it was in the beginning.
Just after 20 or 30 years if you visit the same place where
you grew up, you will wonder whether you are at the same place.
Everything is changing rapidly.
Science and modern technology has transformed old-fashioned
things but there is only one thing that is not changing i.e. God
of the Bible. It is His quality that He does not change.

He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

What He was in the beginning today also He is the
same.  There is no change in Him even a bit.

If He could walk with Adam in the Garden of Eden
then He can walk with us today also. If He could walk with Moses
and the Israelites then He can walk with us today also. If He could
talk to Abraham and be his friend, then He can talk with us and
can be our friend today also.
If He could wipe away the tears and heal the broken hearted
people then, He can do the same today also.
Why? Because He is not changing but remains the same forever.

But when we come to Quran and Hadith we see that
Mohammed declared himself to be Last prophet and Quran as last revelation.
In his last sermon he said, "O
People
, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new
faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand
my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the
Quran and my example, the Sunnah, and if you follow these you will
never go astray."

By declaring this, Mohammed declared that God is
dead because God will never speak again nor send His prophets or
apostles.   By declaring
this, Mohammed blasphemed God and by saying this he made the "unchanging"
God as "changed".
But I want to tell you that it is possible that Mohammed
is correct in his prediction because Allah and the God of the Bible
are not the same God.   God
of the Bible is an unchanging God and that's why the Bible says
in
1 John 4:1-2, "Beloved,
do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they
are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses
that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,"

So God of the Bible never said that He will send
a some Last prophet but He said that we will come across both true
and false prophets but we have to test every spirit and know whether
they are from God or not.

His qualities are
not changing:

From Genesis to Revelation we see that God of the
Bible wants to have fellowship with us.
He always came seeking human.
When Adam and Eve sinned, He came searching for them.
Why? He longs to have fellowship with us.
And we read in New Testament that Jesus being God came down
seeking us who are lost in sin.  He came to rescue us from our sins
and to give us eternal life.

But when we come to Quran we see that Allah has no
interest in us to have fellowship with us. Even the founder of Islam
could not see Allah or hear his voice while all the prophets of
the Bible heard the voice of God of the Bible and saw Him.  Even those who were not prophets heard
and saw God according to the Bible.
And Jesus said in
Matthew 5:8, "Blessed
are the pure in heart, For they shall see God." But this quality
is not seen in Quran.  Why? There is only one reason, "Allah
is not Elohim, Allah is not Yahweh, God of the Bible."

His Word is not Changing:

Jesus said in Matthew 5:18, "For assuredly, I say to you,
till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no
means pass from the law till all is fulfilled."

Also the Bible says in Psalms 105:8, "He
remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for
a thousand generations,"

I heard Muslims say, "Bible is changed or corrupted.  There are many versions of the Bible
and it is rewritten by Church Fathers again and again that's why
Allah sent uncorrupted word through Mohammed ."

But is it reality? Of course not! Bible is the only
book in the whole world which is unchanged.
Many books, philosophy and many thoughts came and are gone.
Many good writers came and are gone, but Bible is the only
book which is standing still from generation to generation and ages
to ages.  Latest discoveries
have proved that Bible is accurate and unchanged.  They found all the books of Old Testament
except Esther in Dead Sea scrolls. When they examined it and saw,
they were surprised to see the accuracy of the Biblical books which
were written more than 2000 years ago.

Yes, Bible has not changed nor is it corrupted but
it is still standing according to His word in
Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers, the flower
fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

But when we come to Quran we see that the message
of the Bible which was spoken and written by prophets and apostles
are not conveyed in Quran as Quran conveys a totally different message.
There is no mention of Salvation through blood shed in sacrifice
which was the Law given to Moses and Jesus came and fulfilled that
law by His own sacrifice.  But Quran says that, salvation depends
on good works and mercy of Allah while the Bible says that Salvation
and forgiveness of sin is available for everyone and we need not
to earn our salvation by our good works but Jesus paid it in full
and it is freely available.
There is no mention of eternal life in Quran which is only
possible through Jesus Christ as Jesus said in
John
14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through Me."

Does not it clearly say that Mohammed conveyed a
different message that has no match with the message of the Bible?

It shows that Mohammed wasn't the prophet of
Elohim and again it shows that Allah is not the God of the Bible
because Bible is the unchanged word of God but the message in Quran
is totally different.  God
cannot change His word half way. So obviously Allah is not Elohim
or Yahweh, God of the Bible.

His promises are not changing:

God promised to send Messiah to take away our sins
and He fulfilled His promise when He sent His only begotten Son
to this world to die for our sins (
Isaiah
chapter 53rd.
)

He came in this world and shed His precious blood
on the cruel cross so that we may never be in sin.

Again Jesus promised to send Holy Spirit and He fulfilled
His promise and sent His Holy Spirit after ascending to heaven.
Acts 2:1-4, "When
the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord
in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from
heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house
where they were sitting.  Then there appeared to them divided
tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to
speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Muslims claim that Mohammed and angel Gabriel is
the Holy Spirit but I want to make it clear here that Holy Spirit
is neither Mohammed nor angel Gabriel. Holy Spirit is not human
but the spirit of God Himself.
It is called Ruwach
in Hebrew and Pneuma
in Greek.  I took the definition of these two
words from lexicon

Definition:
wind, breath,
mind, spirit, Spirit of God, the third person of the triune God,
the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son

We can see that Holy Spirit is not human and so Mohammed
cannot be Holy Spirit and angel Gabriel also cannot be Holy Spirit
because Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.
Angel is angel, angel cannot be Spirit of God.

And more than that when Jesus was about to leave
this world He said to His disciples,
John 16:13-14, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come,
He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own
authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell
you things to come.   He
will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it
to you."

Again Jesus said in John 14:16-17,
"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another
Helper, that He may abide with you forever; "the Spirit of
truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him
nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will
be in you.

Jesus promised to send "Spirit of Truth"
who will abide with
us always.  Mohammed is not the Spirit of Truth
because he is dead and gone but
Spirit
of Truth (Holy Spirit)
is still alive and comes and dwells in us when we invite Him in our
lives.

Yes, His promises
are not changing but when we come to Quran we see that the promises
are changed.  Quran denies the death of Messiah
on the cross and that is why there is no salvation in Islam.
And that is the reason why Allah promised hell fire and then
Judgment to his followers.  Quran denies the promise of Holy Spirit
made by Jesus and hence they reject the comforter who was sent by
Jesus to be with us always and to lead us in whole Truth. So again
it proves that Allah is not the god of the Bible.

To all Muslim we should listen to Quran  and try to  learn Quran online  with translation  to understand the holy scripture and it is must for us to read Quran online, and availing the knowledge through learning Arabic Quran this is the main deauty that we have to promote and learn holy quran so that the true words of Allah should be spread we should  try  to learn quran tafseer the translation as well so we could explain and understand that what ever te quran tutor teaches more articles can be found under learning Quran online Blog a recourse full collection of hadith bukhari shrif and a read  Quran online or you can listen holy Quran recitation for top quran reciters and you can find Quran for kids and quran teaching staff online to learn quran from where ever you want to learn the teaching of Koran and they provide tajweed quran lessons and Quran memorization classes well plz link to it and share it to promote the teachings of islam

Quran - Koran, Word of God? - Who wrote Quran?:

Is Quran the Word of God? Part 9

Who wrote Quran?

During the last few weeks we discussed on many issues whether
Quran was from God or not? From where Muhammad got his revelations? Was
Muhammad a prophet or not? What type of life Muhammad lived etc. This
week we are going to look at 'who wrote Quran?'

Who wrote Quran?:

Muslims say that Bible is not the word of God because it
has no known author or that most of the books of the Bible say, "author
- unknown". But careful study of the Bible suggests that there are
many evidences which indicate that the writers of the Bible were prophets
and apostles themselves. For example the first five books of the Bible
were written by Moses.

Moses writes instructions for the kings of Israel in Deu
17:18-20, "Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom,
that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the
one before the priests, the Levites. And it shall be with him, and he
shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the
LORD his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these
statutes, that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he
may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left,
and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in
the midst of Israel."

Joshua confirms that there were written Laws with them which
was given by God to Moses. In Joshua 1:7-8, "Only
be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to
all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it
to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate
in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that
is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then
you will have good success."

Further we read that Joshua made an altar of the LORD God
as it was written in the Book of the Law of Moses in Josh
8:30-31, "Now Joshua built an altar to the LORD God of Israel in
Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded the children
of Israel, as it is written in the Book of the Law of Moses: "an
altar of whole stones over which no man has wielded an iron tool."
And they offered on it burnt offerings to the LORD, and sacrificed peace
offerings."

Joshua also made a copy of the Book of Law when they reached
the promised land as we read in Josh 8:32, "And
there, in the presence of the children of Israel, he wrote on the stones
a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written."

Further it was confirmed in 2 Chr
17:9 So they taught in Judah, and had the Book of the Law of the LORD
with them."
And throughout the Bible we read about the confirmation
that Bible was written by prophets and apostles who had direct contact
with God.

Now the question is, who wrote Quran or who was the author
of Quran?

Hadith tells us that Muhammad was illiterate and was unable
to read or write. So of course Muhammad did not write Quran. Muslims claim
that Muhammad dictated the whole Quran to his followers and many of them
memorized the Quranic verses word by word and later they wrote it down.
The bottom line is that no one knows for sure who wrote the Quran.

After the death of Muhammad there was a time when Uthman
the third Caliph of Islam ordered to burn all the copies of Quran except
one. It was believed that there were variations in text and recitation
practice of Quran at that time and so Uthman took this step. According
to Quran and Hadith, Muhammad was the last prophet of Islam. So Uthman
was not a prophet and we do not know whether he kept the valid and original
Quran or destroyed it? We also do not know how he determined which one
was the correct version of Quran?

Muslims claim that Quran was directly given by Allah and
Sheikh Ahmed Deedat the Muslim Scholar and other Muslims have claimed
that Quran is the word of God because it was written in first person speech
unlike Bible, where third person speech is used. But the very first chapter
of Quran is written in the third person speech.

Surah 1:1-7. "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious,
Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the
worlds; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee
do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. Show us the straight way, The way
of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is
not wrath, and who go not astray."

This is not the only one example but there are many Surahs
which are written in third person speech. So if we take the word of Muslim
Scholars, Quran is not the word of God.

The Pillars of Islam

Prayer helps the believer at times of hardship and calamity.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And seek help in patience and As-Salaah (the prayer) and truly, it is extremely heavy and hard except for Al-Khaashi‘oon [i.e. the true believers in Allaah — those who obey Allaah with full submission, fear much from His punishment, and believe in His Promise (Paradise) and in His Warnings (Hell)].

[al-Baqarah 2:45]

The five daily prayers wipe out sins, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do you not think that if there was a river at the door of any one of you, and he were to bathe in it five times each day, would there by any dirt left on him?” They said, “No dirt would be left on him at all.” He said, “That is the likeness of the five daily prayers, by means of which Allaah erases sin.”

Prayer in the mosque is a means of entering Paradise.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever comes and goes to the mosque, Allaah will prepare for him a house in Paradise for each time he comes and goes.”

(Narrated by Muslim, no. 669)

Prayer brings the slave and his Creator together. It was the delight of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Whenever any matter grieved him, he would turn to prayer and converse with his Lord and call upon Him, seeking His forgiveness and asking Him of His bounty.

Prayer done with proper humility and fear of Allaah brings the Muslim closer to his Lord, and keeps him from doing evil,

as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Recite (O Muhammad) what has been revealed to you of the Book (the Qur’aan), and perform As‑Salaah (Iqaamat‑as‑Salaah). Verily, As‑Salaah (the prayer) prevents from Al‑Fahsha’ (i.e. great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse) and Al‑Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed)”

[al-‘Ankaboot 29:45]

================================================== ===========

The third pillar: zakaah (poor due, charity tax)

================================================== ===========

Just asAllaah has created people with different colours, attitudes and levels of knowledge, so too their deeds and provision vary. He has made some of them rich and some poor, to test the rich as to whether they show gratitude, and to test the poor as to whether they are patient. Because the believers are a brotherhood, and brotherhood is based on compassion, kindness, love and mercy, Allaah has enjoined upon the Muslims zakaah which is taken from the rich and given to the poor.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Take Sadaqah (alms) from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it, and invoke Allaah for them. Verily, your invocations are a source of security for them”

[al-Tawbah 9:103]

Zakaah purifies and cleanses wealth, and purifies the soul from stinginess and miserliness. It strengthens the love between the rich and poor, takes away hatred, makes security prevail and brings happiness to the ummah happy.

Allaah has made the payment of zakaah obligatory upon everyone who owns the nisaab (minimum amount) for one year. The rate of zakaah on gold, silver, other metals and trade goods is one quarter of ten percent. On agricultural produce and fruits the amount is one-tenth if it is irrigated (by artificial means), and one-half of one-tenth if it is not irrigated (by artificial means, i.e., it is watered by rainfall or other natural means). Concerning an’aam animals (i.e., sheep, goats, cattle and camels) the details are explained in the books of fiqh… Whoever pays zakaah, Allaah expiates his sins thereby, and blesses his wealth, and stores up for him a great reward.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And perform As-Salaah (Iqaamat-as-Salaah), and give Zakaah, and whatever of good (deeds that Allaah loves) you send forth for yourselves before you, you shall find it with Allaah. Certainly, Allaah is All-Seer of what you do”

[al-Baqarah 2:110]

Withholding zakaah brings disasters and evils upon the ummah. Allaah has threatened those who withhold it with a painful torment on the Day of Resurrection.

He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder (them) from the way of Allaah (i.e. Allaah’s religion of Islamic Monotheism). And those who hoard up gold and silver (Al‑Kanz: the money, the Zakaah of which has not been paid) and spend them not in the way of Allaah, announce unto them a painful torment.

On the Day when that (Al‑Kanz: money, gold and silver, the Zakaah of which has not been paid) will be heated in the fire of Hell and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, (and it will be said unto them ‘This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what you used to hoard’”

[al-Tawbah 9:34-35]

Concealing one’s zakaah is better than paying it openly in front of people,

as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“If you disclose your Sadaqaat (almsgiving), it is well; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, that is better for you. (Allaah) will expiate you some of your sins. And Allaah is Well-Acquainted with what you do

[al-Baqarah 2:271]

When a Muslim pays his zakaah, it is not permissible for him to give it to anyone except those whom Allaah mentions in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning):

“As-Sadaqaat (here it means Zakaah) are only for the Fuqaraa’ (poor), and Al‑Masaakeen (the poor) and those employed to collect (the funds); and to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allaah’s Cause (i.e. for Mujahidoon — those fighting in a holy battle), and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allaah. And Allaah is All-Knower, All-Wise”

[al-Tawbah 9:60]

================================================== ===========

The fourth pillar: sawm (fasting) in Ramadaan

================================================== ===========

Fasting means abstaining from things which break the fast, such as food, drink and intercourse, from sunrise until sunset, with the intention of fasting.

The relationship of patience to faith is like that of the head to the body. Allaah has enjoined upon this ummah fasting for one month of the year, in order to draw closer to Allaah, to avoid that which Allaah has forbidden, to get used to being patient, to bring the nafs (self) under control, to compete in generosity and to demonstrate co-operation and mutual compassion.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Observing As-Sawm (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious)”

[al-Baqarah 2:183]

The month of Ramadaan is a great month, in which Allaah revealed the Qur’aan. The reward for good deeds, acts of charity and acts of worship are multiplied in this month. In it is Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months. The gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are shut, and the shayaateen (devils) are tied up.

Allaah has made fasting the month of Ramadaan obligatory upon every sane, adult Muslim, male and female alike,

as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“The month of Ramadaan in which was revealed the Qur’aan, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadaan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Sawm (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Sawm (fasts) must be made up] from other days. Allaah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allaah [i.e. to say Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar: Allaah is the Most Great)] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him”

[al-Baqarah 2:185]

There is a great reward with Allaah for fasting. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Every action of the son of Adam is multiplied, each good deed receiving a tenfold to seven hundredfold reward. Allaah said, ‘Except for fasting, for it is done for Me and I will give a reward for it, for he gives up his desire and food for My sake.’(Narrated by Muslim, al-Siyaam)

The fifth pillar: Hajj (pilgrimage)

================================================== ===========

Allaah has given the Muslims a Qiblah (direction of prayer) which they face when they pray (salaah) and offer supplications (du’aa’), wherever they may be. This qiblah is the Ancient House (the Ka’bah) in Makkah al-Mukarramah:

“so turn your face in the direction of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam (at Makkah). And wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction [al-Baqarah 2:144 – interpretation of the meaning]

Because the Muslims scattered all over the world, and Islam calls people to be united and get to know one another, just as it calls them to co-operate in righteousness and piety, to recommend one another to the truth, to call people to Allaah and to venerate the rituals of Allaah – hence Allaah has made it obligatory for every sane, adult Muslim who has the means, to visit His Ancient House, to circumambulate it and to perform all the rituals of Hajj as explained by Allaah and His Messenger .

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka‘bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allaah, those who can afford the expenses (for one’s conveyance, provision and residence); and whoever disbelieves [i.e. denies Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah), then he is a disbeliever of Allaah], then Allaah stands not in need of any of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)”

[Aal Imraan 3:97]

Hajj is an occasion on which the unity of the Muslims, their strength and pride, are made manifest. For the Lord is One, the Book is one, the Messenger is one, the ummah is one, their worship is one and their clothing is one.

Hajj has its own etiquette and conditions which the Muslims must observe, such as restraining their tongues, hearing and sight from all that Allaah has forbidden, being sincere in their intentions, using money from good sources (for Hajj), fostering the best attitude, and avoiding everything that could invalidate the Hajj, such as sexual relations, sin or arguing unjustly,

as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“The Hajj (pilgrimage) is (in) the well-known (lunar year) months (i.e. the 10th month, the 11th month and the first ten days of the 12th month of the Islamic calendar, i.e. two months and ten days). So whosoever intends to perform Hajj therein (by assuming Ihraam), then he should not have sexual relations (with his wife), nor commit sin, nor dispute unjustly during the Hajj. And whatever good you do, (be sure) Allaah knows it. And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness). So fear Me, O men of understanding!”

[al-Baqarah 3:197]

If the Muslim does Hajj correctly, in the manner prescribed and sincerely for the sake of Allaah, it will be an expiation for his sins. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever does Hajj for the sake of Allaah, and does not have sexual relations or commit sins, will come back like the day his mother bore him.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, no. 15210)

Quran-Islam - True Islam

Indeed, this verse is one of the most prominent examples of a Quranic verse that have been corrupted through false interpretation.

The genuine reader of the Quran will readily accept the meaning given in God's words without the need to add a word here or there that change the meaning.

Before analysing the true significance of this glorious Quranic verse a reminder must be given of 18:109.

This verse (18:109) which is displayed under image number 15 gives us a clear message that God is not short of any words. If the Quranic truth contained in any Quranic verse could be made clearer by inserting extra words, God would have done just that. When God gives us a particular phrase he means what the phrase says precisely. To add extra words by any interpreter that either restricts, enlarges or alters the meaning is a grave corruption and must be guarded against.

The reader of the Quran is advised to accept the straightforward meaning given in God's words. The reader of the Quran must always be aware that God is the most efficient in expressing any meaning.

When we read 39:45 we note the important words "but when others are mentioned". Note here that God said "others". God did not restrict the meaning of "others". Consequently, we must not restrict the meaning of God's words in any particular sense. As a result, the word "others" could mean prophets, saints, idols, other gods or simply ANY others.

Sadly, some of the interpreters who would do anything to favour their idols, and when they interpret this verse, have added the words (other gods) after the Quranic word "others". By doing so, they imply that God is only speaking about other gods. But in reality, and because God did not specify those meant by "others", it could include other gods, but also all idols, these could be prophets, saints, Imams, etc.

In an attempt to disguise their deliberate manipulation of this verse, or indeed many other verses, they state that the Quran is not easy to understand, and that only one of their entourage is eligible and qualified to interpret it!

However, if they would just stop 'interpreting' God's words, and instead start to accept the simple and obvious meaning, then they and their readers may indeed understand the Quran.

Needless to say, their claim that the Quran is difficult to understand is in clear contradiction to God's description of the Quran.

We are told that the Quran is clear (12:1), made easy to understand (44:58) and straightforward and without any ambiguity (39:28).

By accepting the obvious and true meaning of 39:45, we realise that God has indeed given us a true criteria here for what He calls (Ebad Allah Al-Mukhlaseen) or God's pure servants. They are the ones who are content with the name of God ALONE, but the impure ones will not be satisfied unless their idols are mentioned alongside God.

Those who idolise Jesus, Muhammad or any other prophet will not be happy if you mention God alone.

As mentioned (under image 1, Testimony), the testimony that there is no god but God (La Ilah Ila Allah) is the first pillar in all the Scripture given by God to mankind. This first pillar of Islam has been distorted. The reader is once again reminded that the only testimony (Shahada) that is authorised by God in the Quran is found in 3:18 and it has no name in it except the name of God. Millions of Muslims are not content in saying 'there is no god but God' (la Ilah Ila Allah) on its own. They insist on adding the name of Muhammad besides the name of God in their testimony. They call it the 'second' Shahada ..... But God authorised only one Shahada in the Quran.

The Quran's great criterion in 39:45 stamps such Muslims who insist on uttering a second testimony as disbelievers:

"When God ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do disbelieve

in the Hereafter shrink with aversion, but when others are mentioned

besides Him, they become satisfied"

The word Al-Hikmah (Wisdom) in the Quran

does NOT mean the Hadith and Sunna

Due to the fact that the Quran does not contain any mention of the words ‘Sunna of Muhammad’, the followers of the sunna found it necessary to manipulate the meaning of some Quranic words so as to create a Quranic reference to the ‘hadith’ and ‘Sunna’. The word on which they base their claim is that of (Al-Hikmah) as found in a number of verses such as:

"Remember God’s blessings upon you, and what He sent down to you of the ‘Al-Kitab’ and ‘Al-Hikmah’ to enlighten you 'bihi' (with it)." 2:231

Literally speaking, the meaning of ‘Al-Kitab’ is the book (the Quran), and ‘Al-Hikmah’ is wisdom. One can look in any number of Arabic dictionaries and will always come up with the same meaning. Nevertheless, in an attempt to create a reference for the Sunna of Muhammad in the Quran, when there is none, these interpreters have claimed that the word ‘Al-Hikmah’ refers to the Sunna of Muhammad!

Basically, they are saying that God used the word 'wisdom' but in actual fact he did not mean 'wisdom', but instead He meant the Sunna! Any impartial reader must wonder, is God trying to be ambiguous? and if God meant to indicate the Sunna, why did He not just say the Sunna of Muhammad?

Moreover, would God lie to us? Would He be referring to the sunna of Muhammad in 2:231, but at the same time tell us that the ONLY sunna is the sunna of God (33:62, 35:43 and 48:23)?

With a close inspection of the Quranic verses, it can be shown that this interpretation is totally false:

1- The word ‘bihee’ (with it) that appear at the end of 2:231, is in the singular mode, in other words it describes one thing and not two. For that reason the words ‘Al-Hikmah’ and ‘Al-Kitab’ must denote one thing and not two, unless of course God is making grammatical mistakes!

If the words ‘Al-Hikmah’ and ‘Al-Kitab’ really referred to the Quran and the Sunna, then the verse should grammatically end with the word ‘bihima’ (with them), which is the plural mode of ‘bihee’.

2- Throughout the Quran we are told that the only revelation sent down to Muhammad was the Quran. The personal sayings (hadith) of the prophet are not revelation, they are his own human words. Consequently, the words "what He sent down to you of the ‘Al-Kitab’ and ‘Al-Hikmah’ in 2:231 cannot denote the Quran and the Sunna, this is because the Sunna is not a revelation. The words "He sent down to you" make it clear that the word ‘Al-Hikmah’ cannot be speaking about the hadith of Muhammad.

3- The word ‘Al-Hikmah’ is used throughout the Quran as an adjective of the ‘Al-Kitab’ (the Quran). This is made evident in the following verses :

"Y.S., and the Quran Al-Hakim" 36:1-2

"A.L.R., these are the signs of the ‘Kitab Al-Hakim" 10:1 also 31:2

4- The same word ‘Al-Hikmah’ is used in the Quran in connection with prophets and messengers who lived before the time of Muhammad (P.B.U.H.). Obviously before Muhammad lived his Sunna did not exist. Thus to say that ‘Al-Hikmah’ means the Sunna of Muhammad is incorrect. Consider the following verses:

a- The following are God’s words to Jesus (P.B.U.H.):

"And I taught you the ‘Kitab’ (Scripture) and ‘Al-Hikmah’(wisdom)." 5:110

Clearly the word ‘Al-Hikmah’ here does not mean the Sunna of Muhammad.

b- The following were the words of Abraham (P.B.U.H.) as he implored his Lord:

"Our Lord, and send for them a messenger from among them to recite to them your ‘Ayat’ and teach them the ‘Kitab’ (Scripture) and ‘Al-Hikmah’ (wisdom)." 2:129

Again the word ‘Al-Hikmah’ here could not mean anything but wisdom. Abraham had no knowledge of the ‘Sunna’ of Muhammad.

5- A further evidence that the word ‘Al-Hikmah’ as used in the Quran means wisdom and not Sunna is found in the following verse:

"He bestows ‘Al-Hikmah’ upon whoever He pleases, and whoever attains ‘Al-Hekmah’ has indeed attained a great blessing." 2:269

The words "whoever He pleases" in this verse indicate that God bestows ‘Al-Hikmah’ upon any of the believers and not just His messengers. If we assume that ‘Al-Hikmah’ means the Sunna we would have to believe that any ordinary believer may also have his own personal Sunna that has to be followed by other believers! This of course is not the case. The verse would in stead make perfect sense if we accept the correct meaning of ‘Al-Hikmah’ which is wisdom.

6- In Sura 17, we are given a clear demonstration of the word ‘Al-Hikmah’ as being the ability to differentiate between right and wrong and the wisdom to choose what is right. If we read the verses from 22 to 39, we find God commanding us not to worship except Him, to honor our parents, to give due alms to our relatives, the needy, the poor, and the traveling alien but without being extravagant or stingy, not to kill our children for fear of poverty, not to commit adultery, nor to abuse the orphan’s money, to trade equitably and fairly, to verify everything before following it blindly and not to act vainly. After such valuable advice God informs us that these virtues are indeed what wisdom is all about.

In that sense ‘Al-Hikmah’ is not a book of ‘hadith’ (sayings) of one single person but instead a blessing which God gives His chosen servants.

7- Perhaps the simplest and most convincing reason for discarding the corrupted meaning of ‘Al-Hikmah’ so as to mean the Sunna, is the fact that God is neither vague nor fond of providing us with puzzles. God asserts that the Quran is straightforward, it contains no crookedness:

"An Arabic Quran, without any crookedness, that they may take heed." 39:28

Surely, had God willed that we should follow the teachings of the Quran plus the Sunna He would have mentioned the ‘Sunna of Muhammad’ explicitly in the Quran. Needless to say, the only Sunna that is mentioned in the Quran is the Sunna of God.

"This is the Sunna of God for those of the past, and you will find no alternative for the Sunna of God." 33:62

The Sunna of God is to be found in the Quran and previous Scripture.

Moreover if God had revealed to Muhammad an additional Sunna other than the Quran, as the Sunni’s would claim then we would expect God to say ‘We have revealed to you the Kitab (book) and the Sunna’ or words to that effect. Instead the only Revelation endorsed in the Quran is the Quran itself:

"And We have revealed to you the Kitab (the Quran) truthfully." 5:48

Indeed God takes an oath from His prophet of what was revealed to him. The oath contains nothing but the Quran:

"Say, ‘What is the greatest testimony?’ Say, ‘God is the witness between me and you that this Quran has been inspired to me, to preach it to you and whomever it reaches. Indeed you bear witness that there are other gods beside God.’ Say, ‘I do not testify as you do; but surely He is one God, and I disown your idolatry." 6:19

Finally God commands the prophet to rule and arbitrate between the people with Quran and nothing but the Quran:

"We have sent down to you this Kitab, truthfully, in order to arbitrate between the people." 4:105

To conclude, the word ‘Al-Hikmah’ in any Arabic dictionary means wisdom. To leave the literal and direct meaning and accept a manipulated meaning is to reject the truth of the Quran.
